Product features from A-Z


Acclimatic performs automatic amplification adjustment within a defined time period. The acclimatisation objective and duration are adjusted individually for the end customer. This is particularly good for helping new users to gradually get used to the hearing systems.

Following the First Fit initial adjustment of the hearing system, there are 3 ways of using Acclimatic:

  1. Use current curve as start-point
    Fine-tuning of the hearing systema aimed at achieving good spontaneous acceptance. After the first few days of getting used to the systems, select the objective and duration of the acclimatization and test the target setting. Then activate Acclimatic (Use current curve as start point button).
  2. Use current curve as end-point
    Fine-tuning of the hearing systems with the desired final setting. Select the target and duration of the acclimatization. Then press the button Use current curve as end-point. The amplification will be reduced in accordance with the selection made under Settings. Next, start Acclimatic.
  3. Fitting formula related
    Acclimatization from new to experienced user, and from low to selectable higher acclimatization level, depending on the fitting formula.

For TL 16 to 8 hearing systems, the acclimatization objective can also be defined individually in Connexx in addition to the predefined fitting objectives.

Intelligent Acclimatic, in all TL 12 and 16 hearing systems with volume control. Allows for manual volume adjustment by accelerating or decelerating the autimac acclimatization process.

Adaptive wind noise reduction

This smart technology automatically suppresses unpleasant wind noise and therefore ensures a more comfortable hearing experience, particularly outdoors. The directional microphone is set to omni-directional, if required, and low-frequency amplification below 1 kHz is reduced.

The anti-feedback system automatically detects feedback and cancels it quickly and effectively.
The intensity of the feedback cancellation can be adjusted in Connexx.

AudioDirSelect (TL 12 and 16)

AudioDirSelect is useful for a hearing system wearer with individual requests and needs (if the automatic mode does not provide the desired result).
With AudioDirSelect, the direction of the focus can be selected manually using the app (direction individual, typing in the desired direction). In this way, a directional focus that may have been selected automatically can be
overwritten at any time.


AudioFix is the cosmetic and practical solution for fitting with AudioFix Tube and open shell ear mould (Audio Shell). The AudioFix clamp system allows the variable-length tube with the Audio Shell to be individually
aligned with the ear and fixed in place (see also Audio Shell).
The intelligent and reusable clamp system allows quick tube replacement.

AudioFocus 360

AudioFocus 360 is also able to focus directly to the sides, if the dominant speech comes from the side. This means that, regardless of the position of the speaker, the loudest speaker is focused in directly and background noises from other directions are suppressed. The previous Speech 360 mode only works omnidirectional when recognizing a speaker on the side.


AudioLink is the power data connection between the left and the right hearing system. AudioLink is the prerequisite for the AudioTronic multi-microphone system.
AudioLink enables genuine audio signals to be transmitted between the hearing systems by evaluating up to 4 microphones. This process records a detailed variable image of the acoustic environment and imitates the natural hearing process.


Comprehension of elements of a fl ow of sound is particularly acoustically challenging - even for those with normal hearing. A classic example of this is the cocktail party scenario. AudioSpot mode has been developed specifi cally for this hearing situation. AudioSpot uses a small frontal focus of up to 45 degrees, which is aligned toward the person speaking and standing in front of the person wearing the hearing system. The background noise outside this focus is effectively suppressed.
The width of the directional level is selected automatically.

AudioTronic 1 Mic

Directional characteristics (automatic and adaptive) of the AudioTronic multi-microphone system now also in custom models with one microphone. The directionality is created with AudioLink and central processing of both (left and right) microphone signals. This is complemented by natural directional effect of the ear.

Customized ear mould for Audio Service RIC (Receiver-In-Canal) hearing systems. Simple and secure click-on connection to external receivers. Better individual fit in ear: no slipping or falling out during movement. Defined acoustic positioning: the positioning in the auditory canal and thus the volume and frequency spectrum can always be reproduced.

The CLIC MOULD 2.0 is fitted with the small HF 4 Black wax guard as standard. The Clic Ball of the external receiver ensures optimum hold and allows maximum movement.

Available in Open and Power versions. Even in cases of more severe hearing loss and with conventional systems, CLIC MOULD Power offers a cosmetically appealing solution.

The CLIC MOULD Open is compatible with the AudioFix system.

Click Dome

Standard ear mould for immediate-fitting RIC hearing systems. Available as Click Dome Open, Closed, Semi-open or Double. The Clic Bal of the RIC can be rotated after it has been clicked into the dome. This ensures excellenct wearing comfort and a perfect fit in the ear.



The easy-to-clean ComforClean coating prevents soiling of all kinds – cerumen, sweat and dust – from sticking to the surface and causes soiling to roll more easily off the surface of the hearing system or the ear mold.
This protects the hearing system housing from aggressive dirt particles and the roll-off effect makes cleaning especially easy.



Comformatic is the automatic situation-dependent frequency response adaptation. It is based on the classifier (see also Classifier). The frequency response is automatically fine-adjusted depending on the identified hearing situation. The result is a more sophisticated sound quality and clearer speech. The Tech Level 16 and 12 models offer additional customization of the frequency response configuration. The settings can be reset to the Mild or Strong default settings with just one click.



The ComforMed nanofinish uses the fungicidal and biocidal effect of pure silver. Providing protection against bacteria and germs thanks to its silver content, this patented nanofinish significantly enhances the wearing comfort of custom systems. This special coating also promotes natural climatic conditions in the auditory canal, thus preserving the ear´s natural equilibrium. Optional for all custom hearing systems and ear moulds, standard feature of TL 16 custom systems.


ComforSeal prevents the penetration of moisture. Standard feature of the DUO an P BTE models and the Rixx G2 and Mood G2 RIC Models (cf. ComforProtect system).



ComfortProtect is a multipart system for protecting the hearing system from moisture and dirt:

  • A membrane protects the sensitive microphone
  • A special seal (ComfortSeal) protects the hearing system from penetrating moisture.
  • The ComforClean coating lets dirt of every kind roll off the surface.
  • A sealing protects the electrical parts (Mood G2)

The ComforProtect system is available as standard of the DUO and P BTE models with tech levels 16 - 4 technical features and the RIXX G2 and Mood G2 RIC hearing systems.

The electonic "diary" for effective and customized fine-tuning. This technology logs and analyses various parameters and data on an ongoing basis while the hearing system is worn, including: analysis of the hearing environment, frequency with which the programs are used, wearing time, change in the volume of the individual programs with display of the corresponding dB level. Supplemented by the customer´s own input, this information enables exact fine-tuning. It makes difficult-to-describe situations easier to analyse and enables potential problems to be alleviated with precision.

The HF 3 Black and the smaller HF 4 Black wax guards reliably prevent cerumen, dirt or moisture from penetrating the hearing system via the receiver opening. This effectively extends the overall service life of the hearing systems. The features of the Audio Service wax guards are impressive:

All wax guards systems come in red and blue in a practical dispenser roll. The wax guards therefore also serve to distinguish between the left and right hearing system.

HiFi (TL 16, TL 12 custom models)

With HiFi functionality, the signal bandwidth for the microphone programs is extended to 10 kHz. The resulting transmission of the high-frequency parts of the signals has a positive impact on sound quality. It makes hearing more natural, which particulary enhances the perception of natural sounds and music. With HiFi, wearers can experience a multi-facetted, complex and full sound. Speech clarity is improved thanks to transmission of the speech-relevant harmonic waves and accentuation of the consonants. Comprehension in complex background noise situations becomes a lot easier and localization is improved.

An exchangeable filter in the RICs protects them from soiling. In combination with thte HF 4 Black in the CLIC MOULD or the filter in the Click Dome, the RICs are protected twice.


The classifier automatically recognizes up to 6 different hearing situations:

Multichannel AGCo

With the multichannel AGCo, you can limit the output sound pressure for loud levels individually in 9 (TL 16), 8 (TL 12), 6 (TL 8), 4(TL 6) or 3 (TL 4) frequency ranges.


Microsafe Piktogramm

Microsafe is the world’s first microphone filter for in-the-ear hearing systems that effectively reduces wind noise right where it originates: at the ear. The integrated filter, which can be changed from outside, systematically blocks out disruptive wind noise without impairing the speech signals. It also protects against soiling. As a result, hearing comfort is enhanced significantly, there is less downtime and fewer repairs are needed. At only 1.85 millimetres in diameter, Microsafe is much smaller than the wax guards. Standard in all Sina, Vega and Ida semi-modular in-the-ear hearing systems.

Multi-microphone system AudioTronic / Adaptronic / Audio Scope

AudioTronic, Adaptronic and Audio Scope are multi-microphone systems with a ramge pf operating modes.

Omnidirectional: The microphone picks up sound from all directions.

Panorama:The directional characteristics mimic the way the human ear works naturally. Low frequencies are processed omni-directionally, high frequencies with a directional characteristic.

Directional/Directional static: The microphone picks up sound from in front.

Adaptive: Mode that suppresses background noise from moving sources depending on the direction.

Automatic: Switches automatically depending on the detected situation (see classifier) between omnidirectional, Panorama and selected directional mode (e.g. adaptive); with wireless functionality also binaurally synchronous

Speech 360:The microphone focuses on the direction that the speech is coming from, in a 360° radius.

AudioFocus 360: Automatically focuses on the direction from which the speech comes in the 360° field. This features a lateral directional effect in addition to the features of Speech 360 mode.

AudioSpot: Concentrated frontal focus of the directional effect. It significantly reduces the hearing effort in a noisy environment. The hearing angle is automatically reduced to approx. 20° right and left of the center in noisy situations.


AudioTronic and Adaptronic operate highly selectively in up to 40 signal processing channels (TL 16 G4).

Audio Shell

The customised open BTE solution for all XS, DUO and many P hearing systems. With the AudioFix clamp system, the variable-length tube with the Audio Shell can be aligned perfectly with the ear and individually fixed in place. The advantage of the Audio Shell over the Open Tip is its extreme openness and the comfort of an individual fit (see also AudioFix).

Phase cancellation

Any feedback that occurs is identified and cancelled out by overlaying it with an inversely-phased (rotated by 180°) signal.


Selectronic is an enhanced noise manager that combines fast noise reduction with effective directional microphone technology. Selectronic suppresses stationary and fluctuating background noise. In particularly challenging background noise situations (e.g. cocktail-party-situation), it improves hearing comfort and reduces the effort required to hear.

Selective Frequency compression

Selective frequency compression compresses relevant high-frequency information to a lower frequency range. This brings highfrrequency speech elements and sounds selectivley into the audible range. The vocal information and quality are essentially retained. Frequency compression is advantageous for the severely hearing impaired, but other types of hearing loss such as ski-slope hearing loss can also benefit from this technology.

Auto situation adaption

The automatic control of the noise manager and AudioTronic/Adaptronic and Comformatic are activated
depending on the hearing situation identified by the classifier.

Sound Upgrade

Sound Upgrade artificially expands the high-frequency range of sound. This has a positive influence on the sound quality of the hearing systems, particularly in wireless audio streaming mode.

Noise manager

The noise manager is based on the classifier (see also Classifier, auto-situation adaption). Adaptive noise reduction, Selectronic, impulse suppressor or wind noise reduction are automatically activated depending on the identified situation. This ensures undisrupted hearing quality at all times.
If the automatic noise manager is deactivated, the adaptive noise reduction can be manually adjusted.


The cutting-edge TRC S compression philosophy uses two variable compression stages. The knee points are intelligently fixed by the first Fit. This enables the gain curves for quiet, medium and loud input levels to be set very easily on the basis of the compression ratio (CR) and gain (GC). The setting of each inpute level is therefore completely independent from the gain setting for other input levels.

TRC S is also particularly well suited to contemporary fitting philosophies (e.g. percentile analysis). When using traditional fitting formulas (NAL-NL2, DSL v5), the compression-parameter can be set manually.


Ideally, the vent of in-the-ear hearing systems needs to be big enough to prevent occlusion while the system itself has to be kept small. Good sound quality must also be assured. The pro-vent is ideal for these requirements. It is available in two versions:

The aim is an extremely small in-the-ear hearing system that delivers acoustically equivalent performance to a round vent (AEV - acoustically equivalent vent).

The aim is to find the best balance between freedom from occlusion and a pleasant sound (AOV - acoustically optimized vent).
